Recreation Society
The Central United Reformed Church is unique in that it owns a sports field at Brayfield Road Littleover Derby.
This is home to Derby Congregational Cricket Club (established in 1869) and Central UR Tennis club.
We are fortunate to have a modern brick pavilion opened in 1997 and more recently extended in 2007. This
contains dressing rooms, showers a large lounge area and kitchen all centrally heated, The kitchen is
equipped with hot water boiler, fridge freezer, two gas cookers and a dishwasher. The pavilion apart from
the sports activities is home to 9th Littleover Brownies and various other groups. It makes an ideal venue
for private functions of up to 60 people when sport permits and may be hired at reasonable rates through the
Bookings Secretary Eric Freer 01332 769526.
Central United Reformed Church delegate the responsibility for the management of these facilities to The
Recreation Society whose officials are currently Eric Freer Chairman, David Holt Secretary, Keith Johnson Treasurer
and three delegates each from the Cricket & Tennis sections
